Cheyenne residents can expect a lot of construction noise and congestion around the Capitol Square Project over the next several days as JE Dunn works on two large concrete pours.

Two concrete pump trucks and numerous concrete trucks will be working on and around the site to install the structural mat slab foundation for the new central utility plant.

Crews and equipment will begin arriving on site tomorrow (Saturday) at 4 a.m., with the first concrete pour beginning at 5 a.m.

On Tuesday, crews and equipment will begin arriving at 1 a.m. and start pouring concrete at 2 a.m.

In order to complete the work, which is the only critical mat slab pour on the project, the operation must occur without city traffic interfering with the delivery of concrete.

Because the site is an active construction zone, the public won't be able to view the concrete pours. People can, however, view photos of the progress on the Wyoming Capitol Square's Facebook page.
