A Cheyenne man was arrested early Saturday morning on aggravated assault with injury with a deadly weapon for allegedly using a machete during a three-man brawl at the intersection of West Lincolnway and Pioneer Avenue.

Police say Joseph Shea was allegedly wielding a Gerber "Bear Gryllis" edition machete with a 10 inch blade as he and Eric Malmberg were fighting with Heath Ragsdale around 1:30 a.m.

Police say Ragsdale suffered a puncture wound to his chin and was also bleeding from the mouth. Shea was arrested on the aggravated assault charge, while Malmberg was arrested for public intoxication and fighting.

Ragsdale was not arrested, but was cited for fighting and public intoxication.
