Laramie County Advanced Master Gardener Mike Heath is offering a series of free workshops on gardening-related topics over the next weeks.

In addition to being a Master Gardener through the University of Wyoming Extension Program, Heath is also a vegetable judge at the Laramie County Fair and is the Floriculture Superintendant at the fair. He has been gardening for 45 years. He also is a guest on a monthly gardening program on KGAB radio.

The first workshop will deal with Greenhouses, high tunnels, and hoop houses on April 6 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Gardening 101 and container gardening will be offered at 2 p.m. on April 13 and again on April 14. The workshops will be offered at Heath's home. He asks that you call 640-2445 for directions and further details.

More Workshops Are Planned

Heath says he is planning future workshops on garden irrigation, hydroponics, general gardening, and container gardening, but the times and dates for those events have yet to be scheduled.
