Got plans for spring? With spring break week quickly approaching, you may be eager for some local activities, especially if you're planning a stay-cation this year. To bring out the active and creative sides of your kiddos, the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens offers a variety of activities that are sure to pass the time. For your preschool-aged children who love story time, a single dollar bill will get them a story and a craft every Friday.

If your spring break falls during April Fools Day, head over to the dirt piles so the kids can create seed-infused soil and clay for a "seed bomb" and tension-created "stick bomb"--a surprise planting in any landscape they choose.

Other great events include: Bouncing Balls on Wednesday, April 2, and the Plantable Paper and Seeds Science project on Thursday, April 17. Most events are only one dollar per child and begin at 4 p.m.

For more information on these and other events, such as 2014 Earth Day Events, call the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens at 307-637-3649.
