Kaysen Reminds Motorists About Project Detours

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen is reminding motorists to expect some road closures and detours in conjunction with the Converse/19th street/Pershing Roundabout project which is supposed to get underway on Monday, weather permitting.

Pershing will be closed from in front of the Cole Shopping Center to Carbon Avenue, while Converse is scheduled to close between Pershing and the Cheyenne Veteran's Administration. Those who normally use that part of Converse are being urged to consider using Windmill, Ridge, College Drive or the Airport Parkway which offers the possibility of traveling west from it's intersection with Converse to the intersection of Pershing and Morrie.

Kaysen also says he wants people to know the project will not interfere with normal operations at Carey Junior High School. More information about the Roundabout Project, including detours, is available at the city website.
