Kaysen Applauds Roundabout Snow Removal

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says snow removal on the Converse/Pershing/19th Street roundabout has improved since the city took over those responsibilities.

The contractor on the project, Simon Contractors, was responsible for snow removal during the first big fall snowstorm a few weeks ago, and Kaysen said afterwards "it could have been better". He went on to note that Simon is a construction company that is not usually  in the snow removal  business, adding "it's not their forte".

The city took over responsibility for snow removal on December 18. Kaysen says he thinks city crews have been doing a good job during the winter weather since that date. He says city plow crews " know how to remove snow, they know how to grate it off to the side".
