A 35-year-old Cheyenne transient was arrested Wednesday after DNA testing linked him to the theft of a car.

According to a booking sheet, police were called to Grandview Window & Door at 1609 Russell Ave. on June 21, 2023, after Steven Tubbs Jr. reported his silver 2010 Kia Forte was stolen while he was working at the location.

Police say video surveillance showed a white male approach the car and go out of sight of the camera, then the car leaving the parking lot westbound on East Lincolnway.

The following day, Tubbs located his car about three blocks from where it was stolen and found a white male in the car who told Tubbs he was waiting on a friend.

When Tubbs asked the male why he was in his car, the male ran away towards Holliday Park.

Police say several items were found in Tubbs' car, including a Budweiser bottle and paperwork with the name Drew Moore on it.

Police say Tubbs gave a description of the male he saw in his car that was similar to Moore's physical characteristics.

The beer bottle was sent to the Wyoming State Crime Lab and DNA results on the bottle were confirmed to be Moore.

Moore is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m.

UPDATE:

Moore did not make his initial court appearance today. He'll likely go tomorrow.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
