UPDATE:

Cheyenne firefighters responded to a fire early this (Tuesday) morning in the 900 block of West 20th Street.

When firefighters arrived at 4:44 a.m. they found a large lumber and construction pile on fire which had spread to an unoccupied, single-story home.

The 15 firefighters had the fire under control in quick order. Snyder Avenue and 20th Street was closed so firefighters could easily access a water supply.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage was estimated at about $50,000.
