A wanted Cheyenne man is behind bars following a high-risk traffic stop in south Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, a police officer was patrolling in the area of 5th Street and Interstate 180 around 11:40 a.m. on Friday, March 22, when he spotted 42-year-old Thomas Charles Estorga Jr. driving a vehicle.

Police Nab Cheyenne Man Wanted for Felony Probation Violation

Knowing Estorga to be wanted, the officer initiated a high-risk traffic stop and pulled Estorga over at the Outlaw Saloon at 312 S. Greeley Hwy.

When backup arrived, Estorga was pulled out of his vehicle and taken into custody.

Estorga's warrant was confirmed and he was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center and booked in without incident.

The warrant was for felony probation violation and was signed by Laramie County District Court Judge Peter Froelicher on March 13, 2024.

As of late Tuesday morning, Estorga's probation revocation hearing had yet to be scheduled.
