Cheyenne Police Investigating Death of a East High School Student

(Cheyenne Police Department)

Cheyenne Police were called to East High School this morning at approximately 10:15 am after school maintenance workers reported finding the lifeless body of a young female on the north side of the building. Sgt Rob Dafoe says arriving police confirmed this report and began a full investigation into the suspicious death.

The deceased female’s identity has not been released pending notification of family, however; school officials have confirmed that she was an East High School student.

An initial investigation by police has determined that her death was not associated with any school related activity today, as she had not been present at classes or even in the building. The cause and manner of her death remains under investigation by Cheyenne Police Detectives and the Laramie County Coroner.
