Feeling under the weather? Laughter is the best medicine.

The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players are presenting a staged reading of Neil Simon's  'Laughter On The 23rd Floor' this weekend at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse.

The play is based on Neil Simon's early days as a writer on Sid Caesar's 'Your Show of Shows' and opened on Broadway in 1993. The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players will present a staged reading of "Laughter On The 23rd Floor' at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse, on the corner of Pershing Blvd. and Windmill Rd., on November 20-22.

Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and the Sunday matinee begins at 2 p.m. Ticket prices range from $5 to $12 and are available by calling 638-6543 or at the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players website.

Take a look at the cast list and see if you recognize any of the local talent performing in the shows this weekend. The play is being directed by Doreen Oakley.

According to Neil Simon, the writing sessions for 'Your Show of Shows' were done on the 11th and 12th floors of the NBC-TV office building so he added the two numbers together to get the title of his play. The show was turned into a TV movie starring Nathan Lane in 2001.
