Officials celebrated Wyoming's 124th State Arbor Day Monday with a tree planting ceremony on the north lawn of the Wyoming Supreme Court Building. Wyoming State Forester Bill Crapser says it's important to recognize the importance of trees in Wyoming. Crapser says  "you have to be serious about growing trees in this part of the world, but they are very important in our towns and our forests.

Carpenter Woman Killled in I-80 Crash
A multiple car crash on Interstate 80 just east of Cheyenne shortly before 11am Sunday claimed the life of a 37 year old Carpenter woman and sent her husband to the hospital, according to Wyoming Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Steve Townsend. He says an earlier crash and resulting diesel spill had closed the westbound lane of I-80 and caused the detour of traffic at the College Drive Interchange. R

Summer Watering Schedule Starts Tuesday
The Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities is reminding residents that the summer watering schedule takes effect on Tuesday, May1. That means watering is prohibited between the hours of 10am until 5pm through the summer months. Wasting of water, such as letting it run down the street is also prohibited, according to BOPU spokesman Clint Bassett.
