Deadline for Springer and Glendo Pheasant Hunts is Coming Up [AUDIO]

Carbon county officials say they are optimistic that a Texas company will follow through on plans to construct a plant to turn coal into gasoline by 2016. Doug Randall reports. State Forestry: Drought Conditions Mean Use Extra Caution

With drought conditions at an extreme, residents are asked to take extra care when recreating to help prevent wildland fires in the state. The Wyoming State Forestry division says this year, close to 500,000 acres have burned in Wyoming. Many of these fires have been caused by lightning, however, there is an increase of human caused fires throughout the country, Wyoming included.

Hunting season and outdoor fall activities brings an increase for the potential of human caused fires. You can do your part to help reduce the threat of wildfire by following these simple steps during these extreme dry conditions.

Proposed Bill Would Allow Silencers be Used While Hunting [AUDIO]

The Legislature's Joint Interim Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources committee has endorsed a proposed bill that would allow silencers be used while hunting in Wyoming. Doug Randall has the details. Sweetwater county authorities says they are focusing on four different areas in their investigation into the death of 17 year old Rigoberto Alvarado, who's body was found in a shallow grave outside of Rock Springs on August 19th.
