Cheyenne Police were called to 2416 E. 12th St. at 3:15 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) after getting a report of a woman being stabbed, according to police spokesman Dan Long.

31 year-old David Montoya of Cheyenne was arrested and booked into the Laramie County jail on an Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon charge.

Montoya was involved an argument with his neighbor Angela Dillmon, 54, of Cheyenne.  The two were on opposite sides of the fence that separates their properties and were in an argument over Montoya’s dogs barking. Dillmon allegedly threatened to kill Montoya’s dogs and then reached over the fence and grabbed one of Montoya’s dogs. Montoya then pulled out a knife and cut Dillmon in the chest.

After the incident, both people returned to their homes. It was over an hour later that the police were called.

Shortly after police arrived Dillmon was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center by ambulance.This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
