8 Seconds Actors Promote Western Wishes Organization

Actors Luke Perry and Stephen Baldwin were in Cheyenne Saturday to promote the first annual  Cheyenne Frontier Days  first annual "8 seconds to glory" Gala for Western Wishes, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes for children who are facing illness and other adversities. Perry portrayed fallen bull rider  Lane Frost in the movie "8 Seconds."Frost was fatally gored by a bull in 1989 in Cheyenne’s Frontier Park during CFD. He died on the arena floor. Baldwin portrayed bull rider Tuff Hedeman. Perry says when Western Wishes Founder and President Donnalyn Quintana called him about the Western Wishes organization, he jumped at the opportunity.Quintana says the organization rewards  the fighting spirit of kids who are faced with adversity and love the western way of life. Quintana says A Wyoming chapter will soon be announced.
