
Eight Inches Of Snow Possible In SE Wyoming Mountains Through Monday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Madre and Snowy Range Mountains of southeast Wyoming.
The agency posted the following on its website early Sunday morning:A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Sierra Madre and Snowy Ranges from midnight tonight through noon Monday. Snow accumulations between 6 and 8 inches is possible with winds gusting as high as 50mph. Snowmobilers and hikers may become lost or disoriented in low visibility due to blowing snow. Use caution is recreating in the mountain
A fall system will bring moisture and cold to the region over the coming days. Rain and mountain snow expected to spread across the region to end the weekend, with colder temperatures into the middle of the week including widespread sub-freezing lows into the 20's Tuesday and Wednesday.
