CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources plans a statehood celebration at the Historic Governors' Mansion in Cheyenne.

The event is scheduled for June 21, from noon to 4 p.m. It will feature turn-of-the-century activities such as croquet and sack races on the lawn. It will also feature local vendors and music.

Wyoming achieved statehood on July 10, 1890, joining the United States and as the 44th state.
