Wyoming Sheriff's Office To Auction Off Eight Vehicles Next Week

The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office will be auctioning off eight vehicles on Tuesday, October 1.

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page. According to the post, the following vehicles will be auctioned off:

- 1996 Ford Holiday Rambler RV (starting bid of $252)

- 2001 Chevrolet Trailblazer (starting bid of $174)

- 2004 Pontiac Grand Am (starting bid of $210)

- 2001 Ford Escape (starting bid of $100)

- 2008 Volkswagen Beetle (starting bid of $126)

- 2003 Buick Century (starting bid of $100)

- 1999 Dodge Durango (no pics; starting bid of $516)

- 2010 Nissan Xterra (has key; starting bid of $486)

The auction will be held onTuesday, October 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office at 50140B US Highway 191 South in Rock Springs.

Bidding will start at 10 a.m., gates open at 9:30.

According to the post:

"Our agency occasionally sells abandoned property. After trying to locate the original owner(s), we post notices in public places and publish them in newspapers before the items are auctioned to the public per Wyoming law.

We have no history on any of these vehicles, and most auctioned vehicles have no keys. All vehicles are auctioned as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. We reserve the right to reject any or all bids."

Payment is cash-only and vehicles need to be picked up by the end of business on Friday, Oct. 4.
