Wyoming Sheriff's Office To Auction Cars Next Week,

The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office will hold an auction of court-forfeited vehicles on Tuesday, January 7.

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

What Cars Are Up For Auction?

According to the post, the following cars will be auctioned off:

- 2002 Mercury Sable (starting bid of $100)

- 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML 350 (starting bid of $100)

- 2004 Chevrolet Venture (starting bid of $100)

- 2017 Hyundai Accent (starting bid of $450)

The auction will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office at 50140B US Highway 191 South in Rock Springs. Gates will open at 9:30 a.m.

According to the post

''Our agency occasionally sells abandoned property. After trying to locate the original owner(s), we post notices in public places and publish them in newspapers before the items are auctioned to the public per Wyoming law.

We have no history on any of these vehicles, and most auctioned vehicles have no keys. All vehicles are auctioned as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. We reserve the right to reject any or all bids.''

Cars must be picked up by the end of business on Friday, January 10. Payment will be cash-only.
