Wyoming Sheriff’s Office Has Seized $3.3 Million Worth Of Pot
A spokesman for the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office says that agency has seized over 650 pounds of high-grade marijuana since the end of October, with an estimated street value of over $3.3 million.
All of the seizures happened on Interstate 80 in Sweetwater County.
Dick Blust says the department has also seized 604 individual THC Vape cartridges, 150 small glass containers of marijuana wax (dab) as well as some meth and heroin.
A total of six people (pictured above) from Indiana, California, and Georgia are facing felony charges as a result of the seizures. Sheriff Mike Lowell is crediting the department's K9 teams for the arrests and seizures.
But he says he can't publicly identify either the dogs or their handlers because of a recent trend around the country of drug dealers threatening the dogs and their handlers.
