Wyoming Police Department Asking For Info On 1999 Cold Case
Police in Rock Springs are asking for the public's help in solving a 1999 case in which a woman was killed during an armed robbery.
That's according to a post on the Rock Springs Police Department's Facebook page.
According to the post, on May 8 1999 Davida Peterson [above photo] was working at V-1 propane in Rock Springs when she was killed during an armed robbery involving two men. Police Seargent Steve Reekers continued to work the case until he retired, and now Detective Jennifer Saloga has taken over the investigation.
The Investigation Is Continuing
According to the post, Sgt. Reekers developed persons of interest in the case. While those persons have never been charged in Peterson's death, neither have they been excluded as suspects, according to the post. Detective Saloga believes the evidence needed to close the case probably still exists in Rock Springs.
In the words of the post ''If you have any information related to this case, please contact Detective Saloga at (307) 352-1588. Detective Saloga and the Rock Springs Police Department are committed to tracking every potential lead.''
