Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon has ordered the state flag to be flown at half-staff today (Monday, May 6) at the capitol building and in Sweetwater County for a Sweetwater County official who recently passed away.

The governor's office issued this statement:

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Governor Mark Gordon has ordered the State of Wyoming flag be flown at half staff at the Capitol in Cheyenne and in Sweetwater County from sunrise to sunset on May 6, 2019 in honor of former Green River Mayor and Sweetwater County Commissioner Don Van Matre who passed away May 1, 2019.
