Casper native David Giralt says to put his background as an Army Ranger as well as in federal policy issues to work for Wyoming residents as a congressman for the Cowboy State.

Giralt says both of his parents came to this country as legal immigrants, with his mother coming from Cuba and his father from Costa Rica. He says ''I really did grow up with a deep  appreciation for the freedoms and opportunities  this country and in particular this state have afforded for me, my family, for years."

Giralt Says He Wants To Preserve The American Dream For Wyoming Residents

He says in many ways his family has lived the American dream "and I want to preserve that American dream." But he says he thinks "people feel some of those things eroding"

Giralt serve in the military for 12 years as an Army Ranger who was deployed several times in combat. He says he led soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division and the 2nd Ranger Battalion.

Giralt says he participated in a congressional fellowship program which gave him four years of experience working on federal policy. He then left the military and went to work for Senator Cynthia Lummis [R-Wyoming]. He says that led him to understand and appreciate Wyoming policies at the federal level.

Giralt, like virtually every other Wyoming Republican congressional candidate in 2026, calls himself a Pro-Trump conservative Republican. So what sets him apart from the rest of the field?

He says for one thing he is focused on Wyoming "the state where I grew up, it's the state that gave me everything." But beyond that he says "I can confidently say that out of everyone in this race, I have the most federal policy experience."
