Wyoming Authorities Investigate Poaching After Swans Shot, Killed Near Big Piney
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hoping someone can help track down whoever shot and killed two swans near Big Piney over the weekend.
The department says the swans were killed on a pond about a mile east of the Sublette County Landfill. Their bodies were found floating in the pond on Saturday, and investigators believe the swans were shot on or about that day.
Anyone with any information that might help investigators -- including information on suspicious vehicles, people or activities near the area -- are asked to call the STOP POACHING hotline at 1-877-WGFD-TIP.
People with information can also call Big Piney Game Warden Adam Hymas at 307-276-3359.
Any information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case could result in a reward.
