Wyoming Highway 130 over Snowy Range Pass has officially reopened for the summer season, the Wyoming Department of Transportation announced Friday.

According to a department Facebook post, crews from Laramie and Saratoga started work on the 12-mile stretch in early May with a target reopening day of Memorial Day weekend.

"Multiple rotary plows, a snowcat and other heavy equipment were used to clear drifts of snow as tall as 15 feet," said WYDOT.

Today's reopening comes just one day after WYDOT announced Wyoming Highway 70 over Battle Pass had reopened for the season.

WYDOT says travelers on both scenic byways should stay alert for late-season snowstorms, watch for potential slick spots from melting snow and be mindful that some signs may be potentially hidden by snowbanks.
