United Adds Another Denver Flight To Casper’s Airport
More flights, bigger planes, and more destinations. United has announced that they'll be adding back a fifth flight from the Casper/Natrona County International Airport to Denver International Airport on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and the new flight schedule will start on March 31st, according to Airport Director Glenn Januska.
United will continue to fly four daily flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, and three on Saturdays.
Januska said United dropped that fifth flight when the economy slowed down in recent years, but having it back is a positive on a number of fronts.
"United has changed their hub structure, the banks of flights that go out of Denver," said Januska, "so this fifth flight actually works really well with their banks and with United adding a lot more destinations out of Denver, it really means that these flights will be able to connect to 130 of United's global destinations out of Denver. So the bigger that Denver is and the more that they expand, the more options that the customers flying through Casper to Denver have on those Denver flights."
Januska said the added flight will also provide more options for leisure and particularly business travelers. They're also seeing bigger airplanes, which he said makes for a good combination.
"Before we just had the 50 passenger regional jets, we're getting more of the 70 passenger regional jets in the market, I think those are actually scheduled for those that 6:00am and that 11:25am, those really popular times," said Januska. "And we're even hearing some kind of some scuttlebutt that maybe going forward, a 76 passenger jet coming into Casper. So, bigger airplanes, more frequency, a lot more connections out of Denver, so it's really good for the people who fly out of Casper."
