High winds and blowing snow are making travel conditions difficult along portions of Interstates 80 and 25 in Wyoming today [Feb.24].

As of 8:30 a.m. Interstate 80 was closed to light, high profile vehicles between Walcott Junction and Laramie, with an ''extreme blow over risk" warning posted for that same section of I-80.

Interstate 25 was also closed to light, high profile vehicles between Cheyenne and Wheatland, with an ''extreme blow over risk" warning posted for that section of I-25. You can see the latest Wyoming Road and Travel Report here.

Meanwhile, the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service was warning of continuing travel hazards in the area:

''Those traveling on I-80 should be alert for blowing snow, slick roads and low visibility at times between Laramie and Rawlins especially between mile markers 240 and 290 this morning. Strong wind speeds over 50 mph will also be possible which will increase the blowover risk for lightweight/high profile vehicles.''
