Trauner Hired to Lead Jackson Business Nonprofit
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — An unsuccessful candidate for U.S. Senate in Wyoming has been hired to lead a nonprofit.
Democrat Gary Trauner will be executive director of Silicon Couloir, a Jackson nonprofit that fosters entrepreneurship.
Trauner said at a meeting of the nonprofit Monday he's an "entrepreneur at heart."
Trauner in 2018 ran against Republican U.S. Sen. John Barrasso. Trauner got about 30 percent of the vote to Barrasso's 67 percent. Trauner previously ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat against Republican U.S. Reps. Cynthia Lummis and Barbara Cubin.
Trauner has started several businesses including a pet food company. Trauner also has been chairman of the Teton County school board and executive director of Jackson Hole Lacrosse.
