In this day and age, benefits seem to be the main attention-getter for new employees. But what are some of the "perks" that will cause an employers employees to love them?  If you want to be successful in your business, helping to keep your employees happy is part of the game. One way that employees have chosen to accomplish this difficult task is through something called "perks."

Here are 5 "perks" that may make for a more productive working environment at your business.

  1. Flexibility - Having a somewhat flexible schedule will help you to hire good people for your team. When the work schedule is too stringent, like member service representatives or receptionist roles, it may discourage people from coming to work for you.
  2. Transparency - Not talking about proprietary information that would compromise your companies competitiveness in the business world, but being transparent to your co-workers with your goals. Your workers are invested in your company and the success thereof as well, and keeping them in the know translates that you trust them and want them to be a part of the success.
  3. Your Leadership - When there is bad leadership, then you have poor moral and people are smarter than what you or your staff may think they are. Strong management skills and care of the team produce good moral in the workplace.
  4. Nap Time - Google gets this and has developed "nap pods" for their co-workers to rest and get their brain going again. Bosses are being encouraged to create a "pro-nap" environment for their workers. People will love this perk.
  5. Bring Your Dog To Work - Some studies have showed that more productivity, higher moral and lower stress in the work place will come to fruition if they are allowed to have pets brought to work. Good luck with that!
