The official spokesman or spokes-groundhog, has spoken. We can settle in for more snow and winter, if he has it right. Punxsutawney Phil, the official Groundhog Day groundhog, saw his shadow earlier this morning, with overcast skies and snow on the ground in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

Groundhog Day premiered in 1887, with a "meteorologist" groundhog, at Gobbler's Knob at Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. As the legend goes, if the groundhog sees his shadow, we'll have 6 more weeks of winter. If he doesn't see his shadow, we can bank on an early spring.
