Education experts say it's important that Wyoming students are ready to compete on a global level.

Kathy Vetter, President of the Wyoming Education Association, says the Wyoming State Board of Education is looking at different ways to prepare the next generation so that they can take on the world.

"It's very important that every student who graduates from a school in Wyoming is able to compete, not just in Wyoming, but globally," said Vetter.  "We have such a global economy nowadays."

The State Board re-evaluates education standards each year. They also look at different content areas, such as what other states are teaching.
