In a sign that the Cowboy State is in the middle of winter, the Wyoming Department of Transportation has ordered the closure of some highways while issuing advisories for others.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation advised that Interstate 80 between Laramie and Sinclair will remain closed for an extended period of time due to winter conditions.
The department does not have a projected opening time.
Highway 30/287 between I-80 and Rock River is also closed...
Seasons are changing and so are the priorities of WYDOT (Wyoming Department of Transportation). They are preparing themselves for the challenging winter ahead.
Every route from Cheyenne was either closed, or no unnecessary travel advised, shortly after midnight Wednesday morning. Full details are available after the jump.
All major roadways in and around southeast Wyoming are open but remain wet to slick in spots. Please drive carefully. Continue to listen to AM650 KGAB and www.kgab.com for the latest weather and travel conditions.
