Senate File 134

Senate File 134 passed a concurrence vote in the Wyoming Senate on Thursday by a margin of 18-8 with two excused.

The bill still needs to win approval on a concurrence vote in the Senate before being sent to Governor Mark Gordon.

The House version of the bill was amended in committee to include only rodeos held at a facility that seats at least 7,500.

Sen. Ogden Driskill said ''Are liquor permits there to raise revenues for cities and to have them make people pay for things?'

The bill now moves on to the full Wyoming Senate.

Supporters of the bill say local school boards can better decide such issues.
