The Wyoming International Film Festival is pleased to announce its annual Wyoming 48-Hour Film Festival will be back this June!

In cinematic history, there have only been so many films that have the backdrop of Wyoming. Although it could easily be a great setting for western films. And yes, there have been some well known films that have taken advantage and used the Cowboy State in their movies. There may be even some you didn't realize. But recently the 'Best Modern Western' was named and it just so happens that it took place in Wyoming.

Taylor Sheridan is has a pretty impressive resume of projects that he has created whether being a writer, director, or producer. When you see that he's acted in the series 'Sons of Anarchy', written the film 'Sicario', and that he created 'Yellowstone' and the spin-off, '1883', you can already say he's had more than a successful career. But did you realize he was both writer and director for a critically acclaimed movie based in Wyoming?

It's May 10th and it's snowing a pretty good rate in downtown Cheyenne. If you added decorations throughout the city and didn't have a calendar, you might think today was December 23rd. Looking outside, a random thought dawned on me, and that was, "This looks like it could be a setting in a Hallmark Christmas movie."
