Mountain Lion

Wildlife officers searching the trail found the juvenile mountain lion's body near several of the runner's possessions.

A full necropsy is planned at the Wyoming Game and Fish Wildlife Health Laboratory lab in Laramie.

A lockdown at Carey Junior High School has been lifted after Cheyenne police failed to locate a reported mountain lion in the area.

Luckily, no one was injured when a young, male mountain lion wandered into a neighborhood in east Cheyenne this (Thursday) morning.

Police looked for the mountain lion for an hour and a half without finding it.

According to Laramie PSAP, a mountain lion has been spotted in LaBonte Park headed south at 2:15 p.m.
