Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says Tuesday's weather is partially to blame for what she's calling a "disappointing" special election turnout.

Laramie County voters have shot down a $29.5 million bond measure for improvements at Laramie County Community College.

Several divisions of the Laramie County Clerk's Office will be closed Tuesday so staff can help with the Laramie County Community College bond election.

County Clerk Debra Lee says as of close of business Thursday, 1,643 absentee ballots have been requested and 1,351 have been returned to her office.

Absentee voting for the November 7 Laramie County Community College bond election begins this Thursday.
