I-70 in Glenwood Canyon should fully reopen by Thanksgiving according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

After weeks of hurried cleanup, Governor Polis announced I-70 will finally reopen through Glenwood Canyon on Saturday.

I-70 through Glenwood Canyon has been closed 'indefinitely' due to the extreme damage left from mudslides and floods that washed through the area over the weekend.

By 5:53 p.m. on Sunday, another mudslide in the area prompted officials to close a portion Interstate I-70 once again.
