LCpl Rylee McCollum was killed in Afghanistan on August 26, 2021, when a suicide bomber attacked his unit. His sisters and widow are named as plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

The suit claims within 20 minutes of Baldwin's post, McCollum's sister began to get hostile, aggressive and hateful messages from Baldwin's followers.

It's been less than one month. In that time, more than $1 million has been donated to the wife and newly born child of Rylee McCollum, the U.S. Marine from Wyoming who was killed in the suicide bombing terrorist attack that occurred in Afghanistan in late August.

"The American people, through a GoFundMe page, have raised over a million dollars for Rylee's wife and baby daughter, who will never get a chance to meet him," Barrasso said. "And today, I have a lot more faith in the American people than I certainly do in this disgraced and incompetent president."

In between, almost 2,500 U.S. troops have died in the conflict, most with far less attention than the two Wyoming men got.

More than $770,000 has been raised for a Wyoming Marine from the Jackson area who was among the last to die during America's involvement in Afghanistan.

The family of Rylee McCollum appeared on Fox News Tuesday Morning to speak about their boy and, in doing so, Rylee's father Jim revealed that he opted not to meet with President Biden.
