Taco John’s to Raise Money for Cameras At Botanic Gardens
While the investigation into this week’s vandalism of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens continues, Taco John’s is taking steps to help prevent future attacks at the popular attraction. The Mexican quick service restaurant is raising money to help fund the purchase and installation of a security camera system.
Renée Middleton, Vice President for Marketing at Taco John’s, says the company will donate one dollar for every combo meal sold on Friday, Sept. 6, at all five of the Cheyenne locations. Middleton says the “Funds for Flowers” fundraiser will run all day, starting with breakfast combos. Shane Smith, Director for the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens says, they are "so pleased that Taco John’s has offered to support the Gardens through their fundraiser next Friday,"
The fundraiser will continue until the Taco John’s restaurants close for the day. At most locations in Cheyenne, the drive-thrus will stay open until midnight on Sept. 6. However the Taco John’s on Greeley Highway will continue raising money until the drive-thru closes at 2 AM.
