Sweetwater County Investigators Looking Into Old Murder Case
Investigators with the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department are sorting through possible evidence from a Rock Springs home in connection with a 2006 unsolved murder case.
Sheriff's Department spokesman Dick Blust says a 28-year-old Tabernash, Colorado man, Ben Bradley (above photo), was last seen alive on June 2, 2006, in the Rock Springs area. Bradley was hitchhiking to Jackson for a snowboarding outing from his home in Colorado at the time of his disappearance.
His badly decomposed body was found by sightseers near the base of Boar's Tusk, 25 miles north of Rock Springs on October 1, 2006. Bradley had died of multiple stab wounds to his chest, according to an autopsy. Blust says the processing of the home is the result of a fresh lead in the case, adding the investigation of the case is "ongoing."
Anyone with information on the case is being asked to call the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department at (307) 875-1400. Bradley's custom-made Never Summer "split-board" snowboard, which has never been recovered, is shown below.
