Southeast Wyoming residents are being advised to enjoy a beautiful day today before big changes in the weather hit the area starting tomorrow, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted this statement on its website on Wednesday morning:

"We've got some good news & some bad news. The good news: It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL day today with many areas seeing highs in the 65-75 degree range, slightly cooler along/west of the Laramie Range. The bad news: Unfortunately, we're still looking at an abrupt transition to a more unsettled weather pattern later in the week. Showers and thunderstorms are expected on Thursday afternoon and evening. Some storms may even contain small hail! Rain will become more widespread on Thursday night and Friday, eventually changing to snow during the day on Friday. Accumulating snow is possible across southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle. Those with travel plans on Friday and early Saturday should be prepared for possible travel impacts due to winter conditions."
