Study Says Cheyenne Has Second-Highest Uber Fees In U.S.
A national study by NetCredit says a 30-minute ride on Uber in Cheyenne costs more on average than in any other American city except Seattle.
The fare for such a trip in Cheyenne would average $51.00, according to the report.
According to a website on the study, here is how the survey worked: "We used the Uber page for each of America’s 100 most populated cities and the three most populated by state to record the average local price estimate. Then, we found the affordability of Uber in each city and state by calculating the local average price of a 30-minute ride in each city and state as a percentage of the local average hourly wage (sourced from the Bureau of Labor Database)"
According to a news release "The wider study also found that Uber riders in Cheyenne spend a larger share of their paycheck, with a half-hour ride amounting to 224% of the local median hourly wage."
In state rankings Wyoming came out as the third most expensive state, after Alaska and Washington.
