Southeast Wyoming residents can expect winds gusting as high as 65 miles per hour today, followed by snow to start the work week, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

The agency posted the following on its website: High Wind Warnings have been expanded to include central Laramie County (city of Cheyenne) through 11 PM this evening. Wind prone areas (Arlington and south Laramie Range on Interstate 80 and Bordeaux on Interstate 25) likely to see wind gusts up to 75-80 mph. Outside the wind prone areas, 60-65 mph will be common. Follow WYDOT's Road Condition Report at https://wyoroad.info/Highway/text_road.html for latest advisories and/or restrictions for travel. Be safe!

Howdy! Strong winds expected to continue today across southeast Wyoming. High Wind Warnings in effect through 11 PM this evening. For Monday, look for snow to become more widespread west of Interstate 25, especially during the afternoon. Overnight Monday, into Tuesday morning, snow spreads east. Most locations expected to see some snow, not a lot, but enough to make roads slick in some areas. Take it easy Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Allow extra time to reach your destination. Stay safe!
