Steenbergen: Cheyenne Development Office Unfriendly To Business

Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dale Steenbergen says the City Development Office "hasn't been friendly to business," and often creates unnecessary problems.

Steenbergen constantly hears complaints about the enforcement of the city's Unified Development Code. He has said on several occasions that he doesn't so much have a problem with the code itself, as the way it is enforced in an arbitrary and over-zealous manner.

He has had numerous conversations with Mayor Rick Kaysen on the issue, adding that while he considers the mayor a "good and honest man," the two don't see eye to eye on the issue of code enforcement.
