
Winter Weather Expected To Blast SE Wyoming This Week
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says southeast Wyoming could see something this week that hasn't happened much recently--a winter storm.

That's good news if it happens. Most of the region is under extreme drought, with arrival of hotter weather likely right around the corner.
The agency posted the following on its website:

Rain showers will mix with and change over to snow Monday night through Wednesday morning.

A chance of sprinkles between noon and 3pm, then a slight chance of showers after 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 70. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight
Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 41. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Monday
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between noon and 3pm, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 68. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Rain showers before 9pm, then rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 30. North northeast wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
