Sections Of Van Buren Avenue In Cheyenne To Close For Several Weeks

Work on road and utility projects will close parts of Van Buren Avenue over the next several weeks.

That's according to a post on the City of Cheyenne Facebook page.

Drivers are being asked to use alternate routes while the work continues.

The First Closure Starts This Week

The first section closes this week as  U.S. 30 to Eastview Street will close. The post goes on to say "After crews have finished working in that section, construction will continue in blocks along Van Buren until reaching Dell Range Boulevard."

The work is to allow new storm sewer infrastructure to be installed. The project will improve stormwater drainage capacity, according to the post. The post does not name a specific end date, only saying the work will continue for "several weeks."
