Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell said Monday afternoon the search for a missing Rock Springs hunter is continuing.

74-year-old Terry Meador was reported missing to the Rock Springs Police Department on October 25. investigators think he went hunting alone, and his unoccupied pickup was found badly stuck north of Pine Mountain south of Rock Springs. Ground and air searches Friday, Saturday and Sunday, carried out by county deputies, Sweetwater County Search and Rescue and family members were unsuccessful.

Lowell said search efforts are continuing through the week, and another large-scale search is planned for this weekend, weather permitting.

The sheriff said his department will be asking for volunteers for the search, and asked people who may be interested in helping to watch for media reports asking for help. He said people can also keep an eye on his department's website for information on volunteering.

In the meantime, the sheriff asked hunters in the Pine Mountain area to keep an eye out for Meador or any clues as to his whereabouts.
