New Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has been all over the place since signing with the Broncos one month ago, and now he's about to be a part of another professional sports team in Denver when he tosses out the first pitch before the Colorado Rockies' opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night (Apr. 8).

Wilson, who was actually drafted by the Rockies back in 2010, is known to be an excellent baseball player as well. His playing rights are currently owned by the New York Yankees but the Rockies were the team that gave him his first shot in the world of professional sports while he was still in college.

Russell actually had a few at bats in the big leagues back in spring training 2018 with the Yankees.

Wilson is also no stranger to throwing out first pitches as he did it on multiple occasions while back in Seattle for the Mariners.

Opening Day baseball is always a special day as the game is scheduled for a 2:10 p.m. first pitch with a carnival-like atmosphere expected in and all around Coors Field beginning in the morning.

Everything will officially get underway at McGregor Square at 11 a.m. with lots of fun and games for kids of all ages.

Gates open up at noon, so if you want to check out batting practice and maybe grab a few autographs if you can get down close to the field.

Pregame festivities, which will include a flyover from the 140th wing of the Colorado Air National Guard of Buckley Space Force Base, will happen just before Russell Wilson's first pitch.

Should be a phenomenal start to the season as baseball is back in Colorado.
