Rollover Creates Oil Spill
MANVILLE, Wyo. (AP) — A semitrailer rollover accident north of Manville spilled 25 tons of hot oil and injured the driver and a passenger.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that the 1994 Kenworth rolled over on Wyoming Highway 270, about 5 miles north of Manville, in Niobrara County, shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Sgt. David Wagener of the Highway Patrol says the driver and a passenger were not wearing seat belts and were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released. He says the patrol issued a citation for speeding and two seat belt tickets from the crash.
Wagener says a hazmat team and a cleanup crew responded to clean up the spill.
