Produce Sold At Walmart Stores In Wyoming, Colorado Being Recalled
The Food and Drug Administration says celery sticks that were sold in Walmart stores in Wyoming and Colorado along with numerous other states have been voluntarily recalled by the product's producer.
What Celery Sticks Are Being Recalled?
The celery sticks are Marketside Celery Sticks with a best if used by date of 03/23/2025. They are labeled as ''Marketside Celery Sticks 4 in/1.6 oz Bundle Pack.''
The recall was issued by the producer of the celery sticks, Duda Farm Fresh Foods. The recall only applies to the celery sticks, not any other produce from the Duda Farm fresh Foods company.

The recall was issued after multiple samples of the celery sticks at a Georgia Walmart were found to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Symptoms Of Listeria
According to the company announcement, ''Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.''
Anyone who has already consumed the celery sticks should monitor themselves for symptoms. Not everyone exposed to Listeria becomes ill.
So far there have been no reports of known illnesses caused by the celery sticks.
The FDA says the sticks are no longer being sold in stores, but people may have have kept them in their freezers after buying them.
The celery sticks were sold in Walmart Stores in Alabama, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming.
